PARADISE FOUND: The Lithium Edition, contains powerful philosophies, prose, and the poetry of Billy Joe Moffat, compiled and arranged after his passing, by me, his daughter.

At 44 years of age Billy Joe chose to leave a successful career as a bond trader in New York City to live in near isolation in a tiny cabin in southwest Colorado without plumbing, save for a lithium hot spring. In this book, Billy shares wisdom gained from his dramatic change, in lifestyle and persona, from city life to the simple life, taking the Zen concept of chopping wood and carrying water to new heights.

“Through the years it has been exploring the vastness of my insignificance that has kept me in check.”

Lightly spiritual, yet profoundly reflective, the author adds the right amount of humor and wit to his poems and prose. “The grass isn’t always greener on the other side. It’s great right here where I’m standing.”

Words on the page range from lighthearted to deeply moving and give readers the opportunity to ponder and practice the art of simplicity for a joyful and meaningful life.

“Learn who you are, accept who you are, practice who you are, embrace who you are, and above all, be who you are. Don’t be afraid to walk this path, and don’t be afraid to like it.”

Billy chopped wood and carried water in Paradise Hot Springs for nearly 40 years, until his passing in 2018.

This has been the most incredible project ever and I am overjoyed to share it with you.

I'm busy working on my blog posts. Watch this space!
